This included presentations and workshops with communication students on local campuses and their voluntary involvement in driving awareness of Crime Stoppers across their institutions – for example at university Open Days.

‘Click & Win’ Facebook campaign

The ACT Region Crime Stoppers ‘Click & Win’ Facebook campaign, primarily directed towards tertiary aged students, ran across the period from May – July in 2011. ‘Click & Win’ was an online competition using Facebook and the ACT Region Crime Stoppers motto ‘see something, hear something, say something’. Participants had to look out for clues, locate a logo and report back in order to win a reward.

Local businesses took part by donating prizes for the weekly winners. The campaign was a success with a growth of over 380 followers, more than 185 entries received for the competition, local media coverage and increased awareness of ACT Region Crime Stoppers.
