PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDS OF CRIME STOPPERS LAUNCHED
We’re pleased to welcome the establishment of the Parliamentary Friends of Crime Stoppers, a bipartisan group of Members and Senators committed to strengthening awareness of community safety issues and the important role Crime Stoppers plays in helping prevent, disrupt and solve crime across Australia.

Established for the 48th Parliament, the group is co-chaired by The Hon Justine Elliot MP, Pat Conaghan MP and Dai Le MP, reflecting a shared commitment across the Parliament to supporting safer communities.

The launch at Parliament House in Canberra brought together parliamentarians, representatives from law enforcement and government agencies, and Crime Stoppers leaders from across Australia. The event highlighted the value of community-led crime prevention and the important role anonymous reporting continues to play in supporting police investigations.

The Parliamentary Friends group will provide opportunities for Members and Senators to engage with Crime Stoppers on emerging crime trends, community safety challenges and the contribution Australians make when they choose to anonymously share information that helps protect their communities.

As Crime Stoppers continues to expand its national partnerships and community safety initiatives, the establishment of the Parliamentary Friends group provides another important opportunity to strengthen awareness of anonymous reporting and the positive impact communities can have in helping keep Australia safe.
