The information Crime Stoppers gathers from the public is regarded by police as important as DNA and fingerprints.

“Our latest national Impact Statement confirms someone contacts Crime Stoppers every minute in Australia, which highlights the trust and reliance the public has placed in our service”, says Oliver Forrester, Chair, ACT Region Crime Stoppers.

The information gathered is used to detect and disrupt criminal activity, leading to an average of more than 80 apprehensions every week across the nation, which in turn leads to crime prevention and helps to keep our community safe.
