2020 National Missing Persons Week

Each year, the Australian Federal Police (AFP), through the National Missing Persons Coordination Centre (NMPCC), takes a leading role in coordinating the nation-wide police promotion of National Missing Persons Week (NMPW).

This week is National Missing Persons Week. It’s a time for us, as a community, to come together and raise awareness of the issue of missing persons. It’s an issue that can affect anyone. To find out more, visit missingpersons.gov.au

#NMPW2020 | I’ll see you later…

About the campaign:

In 2020, NMPW falls on 2-8 August and our campaign will be centred on the theme of ‘I’ll see you later’. The multi-layered approach will comprise of a media activation and the digital profiling of eight long term missing persons via social media and Out of Home (OOH) advertising, as well as traditional media.

The NMPCC has been working with creative agency, Three Scoops, to develop a design that brings to life the theme of ‘I’ll see you later’ and explores how it can become a haunting phrase to the loved ones of missing persons. The design will lend itself to digital profiling via law enforcement Facebook channels, corporate supporter social media channels and donated Out of Home (OOH) advertising spaces coordinated by corporate supporter, the Outdoor Media Association (OMA).
